Finding Relatives – Searching for Family Members
We’ve written several posts about how to find a relative or finding family members, whether these biological parents who gave a person up for adoption, genealogical ancestors you wanted to learn about while obtaining your family history, or simply a cousins or sibling you’ve lost track of in the last few years.
For those new to the site, I wanted to direct people to our guides for finding relatives, whether they are living, dead, missing or estranged. Here are pages for some of the major English-speaking nationalities, as well as a few non-English speakers out there on the Net. We start with a discussion of why Mormons keep such wonderful ancestry records; the answer won’t be what you think.
Hopefully, one of the links above should be able to help you find whichever relative or family members you’re seeking. Family searches can be heart-wrenching, so it’s best the actual search be as frustration-free as possible.
